Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman showed her support as she graced the “EXTRA+ordinary” pop-up exhibit on February 13, held at the Basilan National High School (BNHS) Gymnasium.
The event, organized by the Office of the Vice President (OVP) – Western Mindanao Satellite Office (WMSO), is a traveling showcase celebrating the 90th anniversary of the OVP. It provides a comprehensive look at the 15 Vice Presidents of the Republic of the Philippines, detailing their programs, achievements, and the evolution of the office throughout history.
The exhibit highlighted the importance of civic engagement and the value of understanding the Vice Presidency’s role in nation-building. Such exhibits are crucial for the youth and the general public to appreciate the continuity of governance and the impact of national initiatives on local communities.
The exhibit not only honors the past but also features current programs under Vice President Sara Duterte. These initiatives reflect the OVP’s modern mission to provide efficient, accessible, and responsive public service tailored to the needs of every Filipino, including those in the Western Mindanao region.
