Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman personally led the City Government of Isabela’s financial inclusion initiative by attending an account-opening event hosted by Maybank Philippines, Inc.-Zamboanga Branch on February 12 at the City Hall Lobby.
Bank representatives, led by Zamboanga City Branch Manager Muhammad Ashraf Madjani and Sales Executive Argin Calope, were on-site to assist individuals and business owners interested in exploring Shari’ah-compliant banking options.
This initiative provided a dedicated space for the community to inquire about and establish new accounts aligned with Islamic financial principles. The activity is part of a broader effort to provide the local workforce and the general public with diverse financial tools that respect cultural and religious values.
For those interested in the service, the requirements for opening an individual account included one valid ID featuring a signature and address. Business owners were required to present valid identification along with relevant business documentation.
