MAHIGIT 200 PASAHERO NG MV JULIFER, LIGTAS NA NAILIKAS MATAPOS ANG INSIDENTE SA KARAGATAN

Ligtas na nailikas ang mahigit 200 pasahero ng MV Julifer matapos ang isang maritime incident na naganap nitong Huwebes, Pebrero 6, sa karagatang sakop ng pagitan ng Pandukan at Lampiningan.

Ayon sa ulat, agad na nakipag-ugnayan ang mga kinauukulang ahensya sa Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at sa Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) upang tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng humigit-kumulang 200 pasahero na sakay ng nasabing barko.

Bandang alas-8:00 ng umaga, isinagawa ang isang coordination meeting sa tanggapan ng PCG upang planuhin ang ligtas na paglipat ng mga pasahero, mga hakbang sa seguridad, at ang kabuuang response operations. Pagsapit ng alas-10:00 ng umaga, sinimulan ang controlled at mahigpit na minonitor na transfer operation kung saan unti-unting inilikas ang mga pasahero mula sa MV Julifer patungo sa sasakyang pandagat ng PCG.

Dakong alas-1:19 ng hapon, dalawampu’t isang (21) pasahero ang ligtas na naihatid at nakadaong sa Isabela City Port. Samantala, kabuuang dalawang daan at lima (205) pasahero ang inilipat at dinala patungong Zamboanga City sakay ng barko ng PCG.

Pagdating sa Isabela City Port, isinailalim sa agarang medical assessment ang mga apektadong pasahero. Isinagawa ng mga health personnel ang pagkuha ng vital signs at pisikal na pagsusuri, at kinumpirma na wala namang naitalang malubhang pinsala o medical emergency.

Bandang alas-5:00 ng hapon, inihatid naman ng City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) at City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) ang mga pasahero sa PDRRMO Hostel upang mabigyan ng pansamantalang matutuluyan, tulong-pangkabuhayan, at karagdagang koordinasyon.

Patuloy ang pakikipagtulungan ng mga ahensya ng pamahalaan upang matiyak ang kaligtasan at kapakanan ng lahat ng pasaherong naapektuhan ng insidente.
