CITY HEALTH BOARD, CITY NUTRITION COUNCIL HOLD JOINT 4TH QUARTER MEETING

The City Government of Isabela, through the City Local Health Board (CLHB) and the City Nutrition Council (CNC) chaired by Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, successfully conducted their Joint Fourth Quarter Meeting on December 18, with City Administrator Pedrito Eisma presiding over the meeting.
The joint meeting served as a platform to strengthen coordination, policy direction, and strategic planning for the city’s health and nutrition programs as the year concluded and preparations for upcoming initiatives were discussed.
Among the key matters taken up were the proposed institutionalization of the Oral Health Program, the creation of a City Health Board Subcommittee on Financial Funds, and updates on major health infrastructure projects. These included the completion of documentary requirements for DOH–HFEP-funded infrastructure projects, updates on the rehabilitation of the Tabuk Birthing Facility, and the status of the renovation and rehabilitation of the City Infirmary’s second and third floors.
The 2025 Nutrition Programs Accomplishment Report was also presented, highlighting the city’s progress in implementing nutrition interventions. In addition, the body discussed the re-organization of the Barangay Asin Task Force and deliberated on the adoption of the 2026–2028 Isabela City Nutrition Action Plan, along with other priority actions and concerns related to health and nutrition.
