The City Government of Isabela, through the City Civil Registry Office, successfully conducted the Sakayan Kasalang-Bayan (Mass Wedding) on December 17 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall, uniting a total of 66 couples in matrimony.
Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman officiated the mass wedding ceremony and led the marriage rites and signing of marriage contracts, with the assistance of the Acting City Civil Registrar Nelsa Yahcob. In her message, the mayor underscored the importance of family, mutual respect, and shared responsibility as the foundation of a strong and progressive community.
Each couple received a cash gift amounting to P4,000, consisting of P2,000 from the City Civil Registry Office and an additional P2,000 from the Office of the City Mayor. The couples were also provided with a wedding cake and a free venue for their ceremony.
