LGU-ISABELA CITY RECEIVES IT SUPPORT TO BOOST REAL PROPERTY TAX MAPPING, ASSESSMENT

The City Government of Isabela under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman and through the City Assessor’s Office (CAsO) received, November 14, a significant boost in its revenue-generation efforts following the formal turnover of P800,000 worth of Information Technology (IT) equipment from the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) under the Local Government Reform Project (LGRP).
The newly assigned equipment, which includes high-performance computers, specialized mapping hardware, and technical peripherals, will be deployed to the CAsO to strengthen its tax mapping and real property assessment operations. City Assessor Vido Yu together with personnel from CAsO was present to accept these items.
According to BLGF, the initiative aims to assist local governments in modernizing and professionalizing their assessment and revenue systems by adopting updated digital tools that support efficient data collection, verification, and analysis. Through enhanced tax mapping and accurate real property assessments, the City Government is expected to improve fiscal management and maximize real property tax revenue, one of its most important revenue sources.
