LGU ISABELA CITY OPENS NATIONAL CHILDREN’S MONTH CELEBRATION

The City Government of Isabela, under the administration of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, conducted its regular Monday flag-raising ceremony on November 4 at the City Hall grounds. The activity was hosted by the City Social Welfare and Development Office, headed by CSWDO Nor-Aina Asmara.

This week’s ceremony placed special focus on the 33rd National Children’s Month, celebrated every November pursuant to Republic Act No. 10661, which recognizes children as the nation’s most valuable assets and highlights their vital role within the Filipino family and society.

The 2025 observance carries the theme “OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!” emphasizing the fight against Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM), while promoting the protection of children’s rights to safety and dignity.

Joining the event was PNP-Isabela City Police Station Acting Chief of Police PMAJ Kuhutan Imlani Jr., along with personnel from the local police station. The ceremony also featured a special participation from the Isabela East Central Elementary School (IECES) Drum and Lyre Corps, adding a festive touch to the morning program.

Anofa Gwyn Resuento, a child representative from the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC), led the recitation of the Panatang Makabata, reaffirming the city’s commitment to upholding children’s welfare and rights.

To make the celebration more engaging, a short Q&A game was held with the participation of City Administrator Pedrito Eisma and PMAJ Imlani Jr., making the observance both meaningful and enjoyable for attendees.
