MAYOR DADAH SHARES ISABELA CITY’S POVERTY REDUCTION STRATEGIEST AT 9th ZERO POVERTY PH 2030 GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman joined local government leaders and development partners at the 9th Zero Poverty PH 2030 (ZeP2030) General Assembly held on October 17 at the Unilab Bayanihan Center in Pasig City.
With the theme “Pitching for Impact: Catalyzing Poverty Reduction through Partnerships,” the assembly brought together civil society organizations, national and local government officials, and partner institutions to strengthen collaboration and accelerate inclusive poverty reduction efforts nationwide.
Mayor Hataman was among the featured panel resource persons, discussing Isabela City’s effective local strategies in poverty reduction, peace and order, health, and other key sectoral concerns. She emphasized LGU institutional reforms anchored in good governance to sustain anti-poverty initiatives and ensure inclusivity in programs for Indigenous Peoples, solo parents, the LGBTQI+ community, and the elderly among others. She also highlighted the importance of localizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fostering strong partnerships between local governments and civil society.
The event, organized by Zero Poverty PH 2030 (ZeP2030)—a national coalition committed to improving the lives of 100,000 low-income Filipino families by 2030—featured plenary discussions, accomplishment presentations, and a pitch fest showcasing local convergence projects aimed at reducing poverty across the country.
ZeP2030 is spearheaded by lead convenors, with former Agriculture Secretary Senen Bacani and former Education Secretary Br. Armin Luistro FSC serving as Co-Chairpersons. Other convenors include the Association of Foundations (AF), Caritas Philippines, Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO), De La Salle Brothers (DLSBI), Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI), Foundation for the Philippine Environment (FPE), Forest Foundation Philippines, International Care Ministries (ICM), Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF), League of Corporate Foundations (LCF), Makati Business Club (MBC), Partnership of Philippine Support Service Agencies (PHILSSA), Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF), Philippine Business for Education (PBEd), Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (PHILDHRRA), UNILAB, and Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF).
