MODEL FAMILIES, RH SUCCESS STORIES HIGHLIGHT 2025 ‘FAMILY PLANNING MONTH’ CLOSING

The City Government of Isabela, through the City Population Management and Development Office and City Health Office and in partnership with the Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF) and The Challenge Initiative (TCI) Philippines, culminated the Family Planning Month celebration with the recognition of outstanding families and individuals on September 24 at the Isabela City Civic and Cultural Center.
The highlight of the event was the awarding of Huwarang Pamilya 2025, conferred to the Malasa Family of La Piedad. They received a cash prize of P10,000, a plaque, 5 kilograms of rice, a mug, gift items, and a sash in recognition of their exemplary values and responsible parenthood practices.
Seven families also received consolation prizes for their participation, namely the Cayona family of La Piedad, Tanjal family of Sta. Barbara, Sanson family of Binuangan, Decierdo family of Begang, Basit family of Panigayan, Montepalcon family of Sumagdang, and Domingo family of Tabuk. Each consolation awardee received P3,000 cash, a certificate, a mug, and 5 kilograms of rice.
Another highlight of the celebration was the Responsible Parenthood Success Story contest, where inspiring personal experiences were shared. The first prize was awarded to Alhana Alonto of Kaumpurnah Zone 2, who received P5,000 cash, a plaque, a mug, and 5 kilograms of rice. The second prize went to Sitti Kharna Barahama of Carbon, who received P3,000 cash, a certificate, a mug, and 5 kilograms of rice. The third prize was awarded to Jendralyn Mustali of Tabuk, who received P2,000 cash, a certificate, a mug, and 5 kilograms of rice. Consolation prizes were also given to Satra Sawadjaan of Seaside, Ayman Ismael of Timpul, and Suset Atayan Garciadas of San Rafael, each receiving P1,000 cash, a certificate, a mug, and 5 kilograms of rice.
In her welcome remarks, CPMDO/CNAO Jesielyn Puno emphasized the city government’s continuing commitment to strengthening family-centered programs that promote health, stability, and resilience among Isabeleño households. This was followed by a message from ZFF-TCI City Technical Lead Tony Tumalon, highlighting the vital role of shared responsibility in family development.
Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman also delivered a message, lauding the honorees for serving as role models of responsible parenthood and underscoring the city government’s steadfast support for initiatives that uplift families, empower parents, and secure a brighter future for children.
Also present during the awarding were Commission on Population and Development IX representative Mary Jane Jocutan, CHO FP Coordinator Michelle Lledo and GAD Focal Person Mendry-Ann Lim, who joined in recognizing the honorees.
