Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman met with representatives of the Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF) on September 22 for a consultative meeting focused on strengthening the city’s early childhood development initiatives.
The meeting, led by Dr. Joyce Ann Viar, ZFF Nutrition Portfolio Director, discussed how the First 1,000 Days (F2KD) pilot project can be effectively designed, resourced, and integrated with Isabela City’s existing programs. The initiative aims to maximize its impact on young children in line with the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) System Act.
Also present were ZFF Project Expert Jennifer Nandu, Jasmin Ahmad, PNAO Nadzwa Sabandal, and ECCD Focal Saada Samat, who provided technical insights and shared strategies for program alignment. City Health Officer Dr. Mohrein Ismael VI likewise joined the discussion.
Meanwhile, Mayor Turabin-Hataman also welcomed officials from the PNP Maritime Group–BAR, led by PCOL Emerey Abating and PLTCOL Sahidaini Tati, for a courtesy meeting to reaffirm coordination and partnership in maintaining peace and security in the city’s coastal areas.
