ISABELA CITY BION, IPINAGDIWANG ANG IKA-5 NA TAON SA ISANG FELLOWSHIP NIGHT

Ipinagdiwang ng Barangay Information Officers Network (BION) ng Isabela City ang kanilang ika-5 anibersaryo sa pamamagitan ng isang makulay na Fellowship Night noong Setyembre 15, kung saan sabay-sabay nilang ginunita ang limang taon ng kanilang paglilingkod bilang boses at tulay ng pamahalaan sa mga pamayanan.
Binubuo ng 45 boluntaryong kinatawan mula sa iba’t ibang barangay, ang BION ay naitatag noong 2020 sa kasagsagan ng pandemya ng COVID-19 sa pamumuno ni Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman at sa tulong teknikal ng PIA IX. Bitbit ang tamang impormasyon, nagsilbi itong pangunahing katuwang ng pamahalaang lungsod sa paglaban sa maling impormasyon at sa paghahatid ng mahahalagang abiso at kaalaman sa bawat tahanan.
Sa loob ng limang taon, lumago ang BION mula sa pagiging simpleng mga tagapaghatid ng mensahe at liham ng mga barangay tungo sa pagiging community builders. Gumawa rin ito ng kasaysayan bilang unang lungsod sa bansa na nagpasa ng Barangay Freedom of Information (FOI) Ordinance, at kinilala bilang Hall of Fame Best BION Implementer ng PIA at MindaComNet.
