LGU-ISABELA CITY HOSTS ‘MAYOR’S NIGHT’ FOR 3RD GSP WESMIN REG’L COUNCIL MEETING PARTICIPANTS

The City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, hosted Mayor’s Night for the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) on September 3 at the Isabela City Park, Barangay Tabiawan. With the theme “Celebrating Community Fellowship,” the gathering formed part of the ongoing 3rd Western Mindanao Regional Committee Meeting of the GSP.
The evening opened with a heartfelt welcome from Basilan Girl Scout Council President Ruby Anne Yu, followed by the introduction of guests and participants led by GSP Regional Executive Director Rizalina Alemania.
In her keynote message, GSP National President Dr. Cristina Lim-Yuson commended Isabela City for its hospitality, scenic beauty, and visible development projects. She underscored how the impact of good governance is clearly felt by the community.
Representing Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, Basilan First District Board Member Ahmed Ibn Djaliv Hataman delivered an inspirational address stressing the value of effective leadership. “Good governance goes a long way. Through it, people start to trust,” he emphasized, highlighting how transparency and accountability foster stronger bonds between leaders and citizens. Vice Mayor Ar-Jhemar Ajibon likewise delivered remarks on behalf of the Mayor, commending the city’s progress and reaffirming the LGU’s commitment to genuine public service.
The program concluded with a message of gratitude from GSP Regional Treasurer Felt Ascabano, who thanked all who contributed to the success of the event and reaffirmed the shared mission of fellowship and service.
