LGU-ISABELA CITY JOINS 2025 NATIONAL DISABILITY WEEK CELEBRATION

To usher the observance of the 2025 National Disability Rights Week (formerly National Disability Rehabilitation and Prevention Week), the City Social Welfare and Development Office led by CSWDO Nor-Aina Asmara, and City Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office headed by PDAO Focal Gemma Casas-Paculio sponsored the Regular Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony, July 14.
The activity saw the meaningful participation of Special Education teachers from Isabela East Central Elementary School, along with a heartfelt performance from the officers and members of the Isabela City PWD Federation.
To further promote awareness about the significance of the NDRW, a brief Q&A segment was held during the event, where lucky participants won 10-kilogram rice packs and cash prizes.
Anchored on Proclamation No. 597, this year’s celebration of National Disability Rights Week, from July 17 to 23, adopts the theme: “Innovation for Inclusion: Building Inclusive Communities Together.” The theme underscores how innovation plays a vital role in fostering accessible, inclusive communities and calls for collective action to enable persons with disabilities to thrive and participate fully in society.
