MAYOR DADAH VISITS STA. ISABEL DE PORTUGAL CATHEDRAL ON FIESTA DAY

In celebration of the 175th Patronal Fiesta of the Cathderal Parish of Sta. Isabel de Portugal, Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman paid a special visit to the Sta. Isabel de Portugal Cathedral on July 8, underscoring the city’s strong support for faith-based and culturally significant traditions.
The mayor was accompanied by Basilan District 1 Board Member Ahmed Ibn Djaliv Hataman, City Tourism Officer Claudio Ramos II, LEDIPO Chief Jaime Juanito Rivera, and Ignite Impact Fund principal and co-founder Maria Antonia Odelia Arroyo. They warmly received by Rev. Fr. Pascual Benitez Jr., parish administrator.
Earlier in the day, the City Government of Isabela served as one of the sponsors of the Pontifical Mass, held as part of the annual Fiesta Alegria de Isabela celebration. The City Tourism Office also prepared a series of activities in recognition of the event’s spiritual, cultural, and historical importance to the Isabeleño community. Mayor Turabin-Hataman’s presence reaffirmed the local government’s continuing commitment to honoring traditions that unite and uplift the city’s diverse communities. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M.
