LARGA ISABELA WITH KONSI KAREL

 As she begins her final term as City Councilor of the 9th Sangguniang Panlungsod, Hon. Karel Annjaiza Sakkalahul-Hataman led the ‘Pag Atiman’ Feeding Program and Dental Health Care Mission to a total of 38 Preschoolers from Barangay San Rafael on July 2.
In partnership with City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) spearheaded by Nor-Aina Asmara and City Health Office (CHO)-Dental Unit Head Dr. Manar Saliddin, the Cebuano term ‘Pag atiman’ which means ‘Care’ in English translation, Councilor Karel’s health activity aims to improve the nutrition progress and promote regular oral hygiene among Isabeleño children.
In her inspirational message, Councilor Karel Sakkalahul-Hataman, who is also the active Chairperson of the Committee on Women, Children, and Family Affairs, emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts with CSWDO and CHO which ensures that this health services for children will be her top priority agenda, will continue to provide nutritional feeding programs in reducing malnutrition cases in communities, and will provide accessible dental missions for children who may not have access to regular dental check-ups and treatments.
Child Development Worker Isabel Juanillo, with the assistance of San Rafael Barangay Health Workers, served the nutritious meal to the attending children, proceeded to the distribution of free dental kits, and had short demonstration of oral fluoride application facilitated by the CHO Dental Unit Team.
Also in full support were Barangay Kagawad Carmani Alamsani, BIO Roque Palermo, and other barangay officials, barangay health workers, and barangay tanods.
