LARGA ISABELA WITH KONSI AMEEN CAMLIAN

On his first day of office as a newly-elected member of the 17th Sangguniang Panlungsod of Isabela City, Councilor Asan Al-Ameen Camlian, a strong advocate for disaster readiness, delivered an inspirational message during the opening program of the three-day training of School-Based Responders Organization (SBRO), July 1.
The SBRO training, initiated by the City Government of Isabela through the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), is in line with the 9-point priority agenda, focused on providing a peaceful, secured and resilient communities, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman.
The rest of the morning focused on outlining the training objectives and flow of activities, followed by a lecture on the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management System (PDRRMS) and hazard awareness. The session was facilitated by LDRRMO II Cris John V. Hufana and EMT Gabriel Caro, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and risk identification in schools.
In the afternoon, participants engaged in practical learning through basic first aid training led by LDRRMO III Maevel Francisco. CPR techniques were taught by EMT Irene Francisco, while EMT Sean Rey Perez demonstrated proper methods for moving and lifting patients. Student responders from Basilan National High School, Isabela City National High School, and Claret College of Isabela actively took part in the hands-on sessions.
On the same day, Councilor Camlian unveiled to the public his intention to file the first ten ordinances reflecting his continued commitment to proactive and inclusive governance, which includes the following:
1. Anti-Scalping Ordinance
2. Children with Autism and Special Needs Ordinance
3. Public Library Ordinance
4. Climate Action Ordinance
5. Creative Isabela City Ordinance
6. Dignified Seafaring Ordinance
7. OSY Rights and Welfare Ordinance
8. Rainwater Harvesting Ordinance
9. Traffic Management Ordinance
10. Watershed Management Ordinance
