GAD FPS HOLDS 2ND QUARTER MEETING

The City Government of Isabela, through its Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System headed by Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, held its 2nd Quarter Meeting on June 2 at Sakayan Hall.
The meeting featured the presentation of the GAD 2025 Physical Accomplishment Monitoring Report (January–May 2025) by GAD Focal Person Mendry-Ann Lim, providing a comprehensive update on the progress of ongoing GAD programs. The reports were presented to promote transparency and accountability in the use of GAD funds.
Lim also issued a call for proposals for the 2026 GAD Plan and Budget, encouraging departments to submit gender-responsive projects. In addition, she led a discussion on the city’s application for Local Learning Hub status from the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW)—a proposal seeking to establish Isabela City as a recognized center for gender and development best practices and knowledge-sharing in the region.
Also presented during the meeting were the 2025 accomplishment reports (January–May) from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and CPMDO, highlighting their department-specific gender initiatives and outputs. Updates from the Local Council of Women were shared by its president, Shiela Pagarigan, reinforcing the continuing collaboration between the local government and women’s organizations in advancing gender equality at the grassroots level.
