MAYOR HATAMAN LEADS OPENING OF 2026 OPEN HOUSE, VISITS CITY OFFICES

The City Government of Isabela officially opened its 2026 Open House on September 21, led by Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, marking the start of the fourth edition of the activity that brings city government offices closer to the public.

The Open House, held from September 21 to 23, brings together the city government’s offices and the public to promote transparency, strengthen community engagement, and encourage greater public participation in local governance.

On Day 1, Mayor Hataman visited various offices of the City Government of Isabela, gaining firsthand insights into their services, programs, accomplishments, and ongoing initiatives. Among the offices she visited were the City Tourism Office, City Health Office, City Assessor’s Office, Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), City Civil Registry Office, City Treasury Office, City Cooperative Office, City Accounting Office, City Social Welfare and Development Office, HapiKids Zone, City Population Management and Development Office, City Agriculture Office, City Engineering Office, City Planning and Development Office, City General Services Office, and City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), among others.

During her visits, Mayor Hataman toured the participating offices and interacted with personnel as they presented their respective functions, services, accomplishments, and programs. The visits also provided an opportunity for the mayor to observe the offices’ displays and activities prepared for the Open House.

The activity features guided office tours, interactive displays, demonstrations, and discussions designed to help visitors better understand the roles and responsibilities of the different offices in delivering government services to the community.

Mayor Hataman’s participation in the opening and her visits to the participating offices highlighted the importance of making government offices more accessible to the public and creating opportunities for citizens to directly engage with government personnel and learn about the services available to them.

The 2026 Open House involves all 23 offices of the City Government of Isabela and nine divisions of the Office of the City Mayor, with members of the public invited to visit the participating offices throughout the three-day activity.

The Open House is organized through the City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO) as part of the city government’s continuing efforts to promote openness, accountability, responsive public service, and stronger engagement with the community.
