The City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, continues to invest in infrastructure that supports youth development and community engagement with the completion of the Improvement of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines – Basilan Council Building in Barangay Marketsite.
The project reflects the city’s sustained commitment to providing safe, functional, and empowering spaces for young women. With a total project cost of P3,934,407.53, the upgraded facility is expected to serve as a hub for leadership training, skills development, and community-building activities for Girl Scouts in the city.
In simple rites, the turn-over was led by City Administrator Pedrito Eisma representing Mayor Turabin-Hataman, with City Engineer Mario Rayman Rubio, and GSP – Basilan Council, led by Council President Ruby Anne Yu.
This initiative underscores the city government’s broader vision of inclusive development—one that recognizes the vital role of young women in nation-building and invests in spaces where they can grow, lead, and thrive. (With Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
